Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Swing Trade Signals ("App", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

The short version: We collect minimal data. We do not sell your personal data. We do not collect your name, email address, financial information, or trading history. The only identifiers we collect are an advertising ID (for ads) and a push notification token (if you enable alerts).

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide and improve the App. The table below summarises exactly what is collected, why, and how long it is retained.

We do not collect: your name, email address, phone number, financial account details, trading history, portfolio information, location data, contacts, photos, or any other sensitive personal information.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

To be explicit about what we do not do:

We do not require account registration or login;
We do not track which specific signals you view or act upon;
We do not collect or store your trading decisions, brokerage information, or financial transactions;
We do not use session recording, keystroke logging, or behavioural tracking;
We do not build individual user profiles or track you across other apps or websites;
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for their marketing purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

Advertising ID — passed to Google AdMob to display relevant advertisements within the App. You can limit ad personalisation in your device privacy settings at any time.
Push Notification Token — used solely to deliver signal alert notifications to your device when you have granted permission. Tokens are stored securely in our database and are not used for any other purpose.
App Performance Data — used internally to identify crashes, errors, and performance issues. This data is anonymised and not linked to any individual user.

4. Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may use your Advertising ID and related data to show ads based on your interests. This is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and advertising practices.

How to limit personalised advertising:

Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalisation"
iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"

On iOS, the App will request permission to track before displaying personalised ads (as required by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework). You may decline this request without affecting core App functionality — you will simply receive non-personalised ads.

5. Push Notifications

If you grant notification permission, we store your device's Expo push notification token in our secure database (Firebase Firestore) in order to deliver signal alerts. Specifically:

The token is a technical identifier for your device — it is not linked to your name, email, or any personally identifiable information;
We use the token solely to send you signal notifications through the Expo push notification service;
You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings, after which we will no longer send alerts to your device;
Push notification content is automatically generated and does not constitute personalised financial advice;
We do not guarantee the timeliness or delivery of push notifications.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate the App:

Google AdMob — receives your Advertising ID for ad delivery. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Expo — processes push notification delivery using your push token. Subject to Expo's Privacy Policy.
Google Firebase / Firestore — our secure database infrastructure stores your push notification token and the App's market signal data. No personal financial data is stored. Subject to Firebase's Privacy Policy.
Third-party market data providers — the App retrieves publicly available stock market data from third-party sources. We do not share your data with these providers.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

7. Financial Disclaimer

The App provides automated technical analysis signals for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing in this App constitutes financial advice, investment recommendations, or a solicitation to buy or sell any security. Past signal performance does not guarantee future results. 8. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited data we collect from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:

Encrypted communication between the App and our servers (HTTPS/TLS);
API key authentication on all backend endpoints;
Access-controlled cloud infrastructure (Firebase / Google Cloud);
No storage of sensitive financial or personal data on our servers.

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of any data transmitted to or from the App.

9. Children's Privacy

This App is not directed at, intended for, or designed to attract children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the App's services:

Push notification tokens are retained until you uninstall the App, revoke notification permission, or your device token is reported as invalid by the Expo push service (at which point it is automatically removed);
Watchlist data is stored only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App or clear app data;
App performance logs are retained only for the short period necessary to diagnose technical issues.

To request deletion of your push notification token from our servers, simply disable notifications in your device settings and contact us at the email below. We will confirm deletion within 30 days.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to access — request a copy of the data we hold about you;
Right to deletion — request that we delete your data (subject to legal retention obligations);
Right to correction — request correction of inaccurate data;
Right to object — object to certain processing of your data;
Right to opt out of personalised advertising — via your device settings as described in Section 4.

California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at the email below.

EEA/UK residents (GDPR): Our lawful basis for processing your Advertising ID is your consent (given via the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS or your device ad settings on Android). Our lawful basis for processing your push notification token is your explicit permission when enabling notifications. You may withdraw consent at any time via device settings.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may display links to third-party websites (such as financial news sources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
